Save yourself headache, time & money!
Frozen pipes can often burst as ice thaws. It is commonly believed that pipes burst while freezing but in fact, it is the opposite. Be on the lookout as the weather starts to warm up! Most frequently, frozen pipes occur in unheated, non-insulated areas.
How to avoid frozen pipes?
1. Leave your tap running slightly during cold weather.
2. Keep the thermostat set to the same temperature both day and night. Cold weather is not a good time to try to save on your energy bill by turning down the heat at night.
3. Make sure your pipes are insulated!
